Police respond to a drowning at Killarney Lake

Fredericton Police Force and Fire Department responded to Killarney Lake on Aug. 6 at approximately 8:00 pm to search for a missing swimmer. The beach and trail system were closed while the initial rescue effort was conducted and remained closed while the investigation took place.  Dive teams were on scene and recovered the body of a male in his mid 40’s earlier today. 

No further information will be released at this time as the matter is still being investigated. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones during this difficult time.
