Heavy Rain To Replace Heat And Humidity

Days of hot and humid weather are giving way to cool and wet conditions across the province.

Heat warnings that were in place for much of New Brunswick since last Thursday have ended.

They have been replaced by a special weather statement for central and most of southern New Brunswick.

Environment Canada says 30 to 50 millimetres of rain is possible before it tapers to showers on Tuesday.

Total amounts could exceed 50 millimetres in some areas, and the weather agency said rainfall warnings may be required.

Charlotte County is not included in the special weather statement. Rainfall totals of less than 20 millimetres are expected.
