The RCMP is asking the public for their assistance identifying a suspect following an assault in Nerepis.
Mounties say a 33-year-old woman was struck over the head with a crow bar Tuesday in the front yard of a residence on Birch Street.
She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Police say a man fled the scene in the vehicle before officers arrived and is considered a ‘person of interest’ in the investigation.
The man is described as between the ages of 25 and 28-years-old, approximately five-feet-eight-inches tall, with a skinny build, and short buzzed dirty blonde hair.
He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and white sunglasses.
The vehicle is believed to be a 2016-2020 black four-door model Honda Civic with tinted back windshield and windows, and a spoiler on the back.
Police are looking to speak with anyone who was around Britain Road, Crandall Road or Birch Crescent at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
