A 25-year old Saint Andrews man has been sentenced to nine months in jail after he plead guilty to child pornography charges.
Police say the investigation began in October 2020, and several electronic devices were seized, and a man was arrested, at a home on Queen Street in the community in April 2021.
Investigators say Kyle Murray Buchanan was charged with possession of child pornography in court last July, and was released on strict conditions.
He subsequently plead guilty, and was sentenced on July 21st, 2022, to nine months in jail, followed by 18 months probation when he is released.
The RCMP says Buchanan is on the National Sex Offender Registry for 10 years, will be required to submit a DNA sample, and must abide by conditions set out by the court following his release.
